It just shows the occasional one-off, sometimes even very temporary, livery variations which have cropped up over the years. A single solitary GSR loco, for example, had "G. S. R." (complete with full stops) in very light grey or white on its otherwise blank grey tank sides for a while in the 1920s or 30s.... (I'd need to check which one!)

Pilgrimage? It wouldn't actually be untrue and she could be allowed to confuse the object of your trip with a nearby mountain...

Evening lads,

Having been up close to the real 083 during the week and receiving some excellent photos from hgricer-thanks hg..it was time to add some detail to the grey bogies on my model 083,

Bogie springs were picked out in red, with the brake cylinders picked out in silver-(the released position)

The various brake blocks were picked out in silver....a few photos of 083-still working the IWT liner on Tara junction.

Friday evenings operations on Tara junction saw 082 haul the Sperry train around the layout,083 is still allocated to the IWT liner and 7078 is working the bogie bulk cement train.

082 hauls the Sperry train out of the Perway sidings while 083 is held at the stop signal with the IWT liner.

A scene like this may happen sooner rather than later on the real railway....but for now it's a reality on Tara Jctn,

7078 hauls the 22:00 Limerick-Cork bogie bulk cement train through Tara Jctn.

Morning lads,

Commuter services were disrupted for a time this morning when my 29000 railcar failed on the up fast line,

Luckily other trains were able to be routed around the failure-thanks to the four track section,

In the meantime loco 077 which was spare at the depot was fitted with a coupling bar and was sent out to rescue 29001....here are a few photos of the operation.....

083 is hauling the IWT liner is being checked by signals as the Sperry train is a section ahead.

After a brake continuity test has been performed,077 hauls the failed 29000 away to the depot

077 is seen hauling the 29000 over the emergency crossover wrong line towards the depot while 082 hauls the Sperry train and loco 201 gets a wash..

Morning lads,

As the real weedspray train is out and about this week,it was time to get my own back on tour today,

The real one has 077 hauling it since it replaced 086 at Portarlington yesterday morning,

So my weedspray had now 077 coupled to it...

Another addition to the passenger fleet is the Mk3 push/pull control car-6104-here we see push/pull fitted loco 229 haul the control car out of the valeting plant siding for testing and commissioning

Reminds me of travelling into work on the Bray-Balbriggan service' date=' back when it was a push-pull and it stopped in Killiney. Ah, the good old days - comfortable trains![/quote']

Yes Stephen-the good old days of the Mk3 push pulls,

All I need now are a few Murphy models 121s to complete the scene-and and few more push/pull coaches to make up two six piece sets...

A 1970s/1980s view of Tara junction this morning sees 075 work a short auxiliary formation of a single Craven coach and a BR GSV as a relief to the Bank holiday regular trains....
