Do the PC brigade allow us to call that locomotive Sambo nowadays?

(I came across a note of a locomotive somewhere once called "Negro"; how times have changed!)

The above engine was actually a bit of a mix of bits from other old locos, and might better have been called "Mongrel"!

Its Christmas eve and the driver and guard of the Glen More beet secial are anxious to get back home to Cork before closing time.     Happy Christmas to all and here's to another great year for Irish railway modellers.

I think the relatively small numbers involved means we have to stick together.

I’m sure Wrenneire I’ll blow my ‘under the tree’ effort out of the water but I must say it’s pretty cool to have Models you are (somewhat!) responsible for under the tree after the childhood years of getting Hornby trainsets from Santa!

Nice one Dave.

However, already I have my bubbles tearing round the railway upstairs and I take the people who have given me them for Christmas up to see them! Being a nice guy - I even let them drive the engine pulling "their" wagons!

A Happy and Blessed Christmas to everyone. The IRM boys, especially, for the package from them really made my Christmas!
