iarnrod Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Are the PW wagons a kit or scratch built? Top drawer modelling there.
Noel Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Where does fantasy start and reality end? Superbly realistic.
Broithe Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Where does fantasy start and reality end? A bit of re-working and you've got the start of a great song there - let's hope we don't get caught in a landslide...?
Liverbird81 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 When u feel that your hobbie is losing interest just look at some of these wonderful models & layouts and what can be achieved with some hard work and enjoyment love the hunslet it reminds me of it charging by Greenisland on Sunday ballast duties in the 80's wonderful
BosKonay Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Stunning Anthony@!!@ Do you have kadees on the bagged cement wagons?
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 Thanks for all the comments guys. Stunning Anthony@!!@ Do you have kadees on the bagged cement wagons? Stephen I run fixed rakes so the the 2 end wagons have Kadee's fitted and the rest are fitted with X10633 Hornby couplings Are the PW wagons a kit or scratch built? Top drawer modelling there. The PW wagons are 60' Genesis white metal kits soldered together and then the usual painting and weathering.
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 The EGV is a repaint with light weathering and the 1st Class is just straight out of the box
Noel Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Very nice. Your livery respray is much closer to the real super train coaches I remember. The side by side by photo shows just how hideous the 'dayglow orange' really is out of the box. Nice job on the respray, looks great.
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 22, 2015 Author Posted April 22, 2015 banging on about it here Pot kettle black. What's the last thing you were banging on about.
ttc0169 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Very nice indeed, more realistic. Agreed- definatly a more realistic colour....nice one Anthony
burnthebox Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Anto my boy, you're lighting a fire with this one, for me, the Jury's still out, the more I look at those pics the more I'm confused, but that EGV is more the 141 stripe,
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 23, 2015 Author Posted April 23, 2015 Painted on a few white lines, some black paint on the roof, and added some decals to the super train mk2 1st class coach. The colour is an exact match for the existing intercity mk2's
Chevron Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 How did you get the paint job so perfect. such great lines.
