Riversuir226 Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Superb work, the weathering makes all the difference
jhb171achill Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 How did you get the weathering SO realistic? Fantastic job.
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 Well its finally here the 071 you guys have been PM ing, emailing and phoning me to ask when will I be doing them. If any of you guys were at Bangor on Saturday you would have got to see her in the flesh, and for a livery a lot of you were unsure about the real thing been painted in the models are flying out the door. Check out the smoothed out cab (where the grab irons used to be) it really does change the look of the model as well as the real thing. So any of you guys looking one done you know where I am.
BosKonay Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Beautiful work Anthony - I'm surprised by how much of a difference the smoothed front / grab rails make!
Kirley Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 The attention to detail raises the standard of this re-paint and the colour looks fairly accurate.
Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 Thanks guys for the great feedback I've a few more to do so I will post some more photos soon.
Barl Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Excellent work as usual Anthony. This livery is really starting to grow on me now

Don't worry mate anyone wants to stir it up on my workbench I will personally delete it. I'm sick to the back teeth of this happening on threads all over the site. Riversuir226 Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Classy work Anthony, really like 077 in grey & with the backscene i had to look twice to see if it was a model or the real thing. Top marks sir:-bd
Warbonnet Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Anthony knows my feelings about weatheringI dont like it, which is not to say that its not another great job, but I dont like it Capiche ? Did seeing a limited edition model of just 250 pieces being weathered break your heart? Well done Anthony, keep breaking them hearts!
