Would have liked B209, which worked the last day on Loughrea, but I'll settle for B225.

Didn't photograph them all, but my shots suggest the B201s were fitted with staff exchangers when outshopped from Inchicore after rebuilding - and most retained those exchangers to the end. NIR's MVs had theirs removed, presumbly by Iarnród Éireann.

105 will probably cover more miles on layouts than it ever did on NIR.

Very surprising to see the 2 Maybach variants covered in this lineup of liveries, also interesting that there is only one green (there is a version without the stripe)

I wonder if a 226 special edition is on the cards, like A3r from the A class run for those who remember, it was announced quite a long while after the other ones!

C231 is the special edition in this instance - another fundraiser for the Irish Traction Group. 😄

I knew it. I just knew as soon as I start building that silverfox kit this would happen. Great news and looking forward to seeing these in person.

Congratulations lads.

Thank you for your efforts in ensuring that IRM would make this announcement!

i’m going to have to think carefully about which ones I order, as the options aren’t quite what I had anticipated. I will probably end up ordering more than I had planned…

Looking forward to seeing them in the flesh tomorrow

Has anyone had a problem with the 10 month payment option ? I have emailed support but won’t get a reply till next week.

I can’t add any of the locos to cart, I want 3 sound fitted locos. If I do a single loco & select 10 month option, at checkout : pay £30 today & £269.99 on 24/8/2027 and requests card details !

It's great to see the C class finally be announced! I've pre-ordered the green and silver variants already.

I am a little disappointed there's only one green variant, I would've loved to see both lined and unlined green being offered. Although I guess it makes the livery choice for my scratch build a lot easier.

I’m delighted to see the C class model announced. The options offered will certainly give me the opportunity for some repainting and renumbering…

As others have said, it’s odd that there isn’t a plain green option, so I’ll have to do some work on C231. I’m not certain that C231 had a black roof - it was often filthy but some photos indicate the paint was green underneath (some green locos had green roofs, some had black).

A plain black option is also a significant omission as many of the class carried this livery through much of the 1960s. I may need to remove a yellow panel off C223, though I confess that C223 is very attractive in its own right.
There’s B233 in black but this carried 5 different liveries during its Maybach-engined period and was plain black for only 2 years, so it’s niche. But the Maybach tooling does appeal too, perhaps I need to give B233 a repaint.

C209 is a great choice for that livery, and I can see the logic of class leader C201 being the silver loco.

I’ll definitely get one of the supertrain liveried locos and renumber to 226 as I did once spend a weekend working on the real thing.

NIR 105 is an odd choice - only in traffic for a short period of time, compared to say 104 or 106, and in a unique livery variant. But I suppose it’s easier to add a black roof than take it away, so there’s some logic. I did actually see 105 back in the day, so I expect I’ll get one.

Nice one. I'll take the silver and green ones and can't say no to that MV either.

Speaking for me personally I like the scale of the release. Three locos in my chosen eras won't break the bank. No FOMO.
