Noel Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 It looks like the new MM mk2d release coaches featured above are a better shade of orange than the original release. Quote

Thats a difficult one to answer 174 made it into full IR livery prior to its withdrawal in sometime circa 1993 there are other examples of 141's in STIR livery up to 1991 /1992 if not beyond. A Jonthan Allen picture of a weathered 174 in 1992 One question I forgot to ask yesterday when visiting Paddy Murphy's stand was the ETA on the 141/181 class additions. murphaph Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Thanks a lot Mark. Safe to say then that probably no baby GM'S were still in STIR livery by 1995 then? If so I will leave that one. It's not like I have a shortage of tippex ones. Quote

When I asked Paddy he said hopefully sometime next year but the manufacturer has warned of production challenges. These will appear before the MK3 as the driver cab is proving a real challenge. 3 4 Quote

However, I think most of us with a bit of wit realised the realities as pointed out by some club members.n It's a bit like then preservation issue "Why doesn't the ITG / RPSI / DCDR put everything at Moyasta and everywhere else into fully-restored heritage use next week....?" It feels a bit like selling my knee caps to buy new earlobes, the things we do for love! Now the only question is, will Paddy take my first born as payment for 141s,as I'm running out of things to flog, soon it'll just be me, a desk and boxes of railway models! I have started 3D printing large parcels of 500 euro notes in order to be ready for the next IRM announcement. All children, cousins, kitchen sinks, uncles, parents, siblings and neighbours are long since auctioned off. My credit card is at the doctor's this afternoon. 2 5 Quote

I had a fair oul go at the scones and KitKats, neither of which appeared to have any suitable pockets for NEM couplings, let alone a place for a DCC chip (mind you, they would have been a bit chewy). Otherwise, they looked extremely realistic. 4 Quote

Mac Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Coming in on this conversation after seeing Accurascale producing the Class 66 from moulds purchased from Hattons. IRM are already working with MM so I'm wondering if the MK2s and 3s being released (this year perhaps!) will get an IRM makeover and be marketed through the IRM website as a collaboration with MM! raymurph Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Just wondering what price do people think secondhand older MM 141s and 181s to go for let's say 6 months after the new batch are released? Quote
