Oh my! Thats pure pornography, you should be hosting images like that on an 18+ section of the site ;)

Also I love how these models show how bizarrely skinny 00 gauge track is, not only for Irish locos but for British designs too.

That said, I can't be arsed changing all my track...so 00 it is :P

Awesome detail, well done, the bar is raised again. With the detail that IRM/Accurascale are able to achieve on models, looking at a Hornby model and have one of these beauties beside it, there is no comparison on the level of detail, hats off to ye lads.

The Model Certainly looks extremely nice for sure.

What Hornby loco are you comparing it to?

Compare a Similar sized / price of loco say the Hornby Class 31, Opening Doors, Interior Cab detail, Moving Fan, Lights, Ok No speaker (It came out some time ago). Solid die cast chassis (expect for earlier Versions and Railroad)

Absolutely fab model, I love mine to bits. Runs like a beauty too and pulls like a devil

You'd be surprised how much shorter the A is to a 31 George, they really are a small loco. Hope the chassis on your 31 hasnt exploded, like it did on mine! It did run well before that though, though the rotating fan rubber band was clipped like I have done on all my Hornby locos. Really affected the way my 56 ran until I done away with it.

Cheers!

If it's Hornby then it a model of the Western Region's Hymek (Class 35). They were worse than the Lima 33s and there was an strange smell generated from the motor of burning oil/lubricant. I'm still traumatised - it affected me right through my childhood and into adulthood. That model was destined for the bin as soon as I got my Lima "A class and Craven's" set.

LOL , I got suckered Fran - Bought it 2nd hand of a lad when I was working in Marks 7 years ago, Looked mint,  I had  not noticed the tell tale crack on the bottom of the cab and it had expanded. Thankfully I got a new chassisfrom the New Gen 31's  and reinstalled all the gubbins and back in action!  At least there was spares available!

The Fan works Still and TBH it runs really smooth. Cant fault it, One of My Favourites.

I don't think the H lads could foresee the Chinese using sh!t metals and the Chinese still do, Take all those fancy Garden thinks made of metal, Lasts about 2 months before the rust starts setting.

If the Georgous A it is being compared to Hornbys  and Limas 'Irish' efforts then no question different league, Different times!

BTW I love the smell of the old motors. ah the days of running me old Pannier to death! Happy days. did it bother me about the Flangeless middle wheel, Motor in the cab...Nah but I was 12 then!

I had one of those panniers on a branch line on my 3rd layout. It clocked up a massive mileage and was as good as new when I gave it away years later. I repainted it in BR plain black with “lion & wheel”…..

It's disappointing to hear that this years model railway exhibition has been cancelled. Think the only way most of us can be cheered up at this moment in time is if someone [Warbonnet] posts some more photographs of the IRM A30.

Very Neat internal Gubbins, Obviously the roof Clips off or is it screw on?

The small silver rectangles you can see are Neodymium magnets.

They really do look the business.   Just my opinion but I think from seeing the Silver version posted above these and the two green versions will look something special when seen in the flesh. Of course they are all looking great, can't wait, well done Lads.
