Daft prices. The re-runs due at the end of the year probably won't be much over €200 new.

Crazy price but the seller timed it well with the new IRM Mk2 coaches

Buyers need to realise these are due on Sale new from Marks Models and IRM by the end of this year for 1/3rd of that price.

Always the optimist but I can’t see new 071s in 2024 to be honest..

And if we do see them they definitely won’t be €200 considering the new 141s are more than that

Where did you get that definite timeline, @Noel? You posted something similar here, too.

The last update I remember seeing was here, from @DonderBlitzen, and there was nothing set in stone.

I'd love to see more on sale, brand new, for €200, inside the next ten and a half months, but don't want to get my hopes up without some kind of source.

Maybe @WRENNEIRE has posted the info and I've missed it?

@Dempsey will be delighted to hear that they are guaranteed so soon, if that is the case!

My ear were burning.

I'm sure I could find jobs for another 071 or two

Dunno, sorry. I only spoke to him about the baby GMs and 071s. 201s not my era.

@DJ Dangeroushas one that @murphaph resprayed for him, from the pics I saw it was impossible to tell if was a factory original or not, in fact @murphaphs one was probably better as it has subtle weathering instead of being OOB

Mad where they’ve got to.. I spoke to Paddy a few months back on it and he said he just didn’t see the demand for NIR models so went with a half batch of 252 instead of the usual 504.. This is the result of them at I guess!

It's all in the name...

Murphaph Models = Murphy Models???

@Ironroad sent me this bit from the funny pages yesterday, IRM NIR Mk2B/C blue and yellow pack sold for £300 GBP:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/126337986279

And following on from that, somebody has all three blue and yellow packs for €350 each:

A Bachmann Mk2A for €40:

This looks too good to be true - does none know anything about this?

Cheers

@WRENNEIREmay weigh in here, but my own understanding is that these are production over/runs or maybe seconds. This is probably the supplier

Similar things used to happen with Bachmann and Bachmann-Liliput models.

Not too far off the mark @Galteemore
I think its similar to last year when some coaches were offered for sale from  "foreign parts"
Rumour has it that the manufacturer may have made more than was ordered, held them for a while and then offered them for sale through a third party, only down the price of labour and parts, so would stand to make a healthy profit

Bargain, well done 👏

It has arrived...

The bogies are definitely not 21mm-friendly. Come to think of it, they're not even normal P4-friendly, and would need a lot of filing at the back to make room for 18.83 wheelsets.

Can the bogies themselves be widened by splitting down the centre and padding out?

Few eBay items that may be of interest to somebody.

Four Murphy Models 121 Class locos for €585 EURO:

Three IRM NIR coaches for €345 EURO:

I think it should be possible to separate the sides from the central structure and then grafting in extension pieces to widen it before gluing the sides back on.

That's the only thing I can think of as I don't think IRM B4s are available as spares and, anyway, their mounting is a bit different to Murphy's.

Not aware of sprung bogies being available for 21mm, but could be adapted from P4 ones.

Good few Irish bits on eBay - only posting links, not reference screenshots, as there are too many!

IRM RPSI Mk2 coach set for €293 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315259961836

Murphy Models / Bachmann RPSI Mk2 coach set for €223 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/256457825580

Three NIR Mk2 blue and yellow packs from a previous post still for sale, €345 EURO for each of the IRM packs and €217 EURO for the Lima pack:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/126370551466

https://www.ebay.es/itm/126370551473

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315237476900

Two Murphy Models Supertrain livery Mk2D's for €115 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/186369572821

Photos look like they were taken with a potato peeler, but there are a few interesting bits in one photo that you could probably hassle the seller over.

Vertical photos and videos, ugh, who the Hell does that???

Murphy Models IR livery Mk2D EGV for €112 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/126401243061

Five Bachmann green CIE livery coaches for €345 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315231103105

One of the same for €48 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/354586284162

Murphy Models Daimler APC set for €88 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315247552557

Three Murphy Models 201 Class locos in IE Orange, two at €369 EURO each and one at €357 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315237459669

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315237454420

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315237463899

IRM A Class A39R in black and orange livery for €263 EURO:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315247562805

Price has dropped to €515 EURO for the four 121 Class locos:

https://www.ebay.es/itm/315237495493

Quite a good price given the jump in pricing for the new batch of 141's / 181's.

Happy spending!

Just occurs to me..... obviously this thing is grey, as everything was then (black is always wrong for these as none lasted to the 1950s); but somewhere in the cobweb of my mind is a notion - possibly driven by a photo showing faded lined transfer lettering - suggesting that the dark coach maroon might have appeared on one anyway....very highly unlikely, but I wonder did anyone else have any thoughts on this....
