So, if you put one ESU decoder in the loco and one ESU decoder in the DBSO, they should both have the same address. Thanks DJ, that actually makes sense to me and is very helpful, sometimes this decoder stuff goes right over my head. 1 Quote

Same, I need the DCC mumbo jumbo in broad strokes, I said BROAD STROKES, but once the mumblers start mumbling, it's all Orks and Ballrogs, no idea what they do be saying. I think that the basic premise is that anybody who wants to run two different DCC locos on the same track, using ESU decoders, will HAVE to change the address for one or the other. In the case of the IRM DBSO, you need it to have the same address as the loco, so happy days. 1 Quote

Robert Shrives Posted February 12 Posted February 12 With all the talk about unwanted stock - It would be fun to alter a bumble bee MKK2 So into micro buffet 548 or was it 916 with the air con windows on one side? I guess both are beyond the niche horizon for IRM rtr versions. 548 was a bit more upmarket than the BR TSOT variation as had a the window behind counter was paneled over, BR kept frame often with glass painted over. - There is this version in the AS BR range to be. We shall look into it and talk to the factory when they return from the Chinese new year break. Cheers! Fran Any update on this Fran? I have the same problem with my corportate livery ones. All the "standard" coaches seem to have EM gauge bogies on them. Only the "oddball" ones like the EGV and DVT have the proper 21mm ones. 1 1 Quote

So I was second guessing myself that possibly the 'kitchen' end of the Grill, the BDTSs or DBFO 813 might have had B5 bogies but the three generator van were the only ones to have B5s at the genny end What's the difference between a B4 and a B5? Should the generator vans have one B4 and one B5? Quote
Galteemore Posted February 29 Posted February 29 B5 was for heavier loading. AFAIK the B5 was under the generator end, B4 at the other end. 1 1 Quote

Warbonnet Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Hi everyone, We are sorting this out with the factory. Ongoing... We have also done a formation guide similar to our IR/IE Mark 2 coaches for the Enterprise Mark 2s over different eras for some added inspiration! Cheers! Fran 8 3 1 Quote

Warbonnet Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 Hi everyone, Just to bring you an update on the bogies; our factory is currently making new, correctly spaced sets for us and they should be finished in mid-late May. We will have further updates nearer this date on what you need to do to get your replacement sets, so keep an eye out for updates once we have them. Cheers! Fran 4 2 Quote

Mayner Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) 28 minutes ago, Louth said: Is this a hint at a run of blue/maroon stock from IRM along with a Hunslet? Not exactly my era or railway, but I was definitely smitten when I first saw a Maroon Hunslet and rake of blue/maroon coaches as a 14 year old at Amiens Street and definitely buy a set for display if not to run. I would probably have the same or a more extreme reaction if someone brought out a blue Vs 207 and a rake of suitable coaches which I saw crossing Gormanstown Viaduct 7-8 years earlier! DJ Dangerous Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Another thing with the NIR Mk2B/C's is the build quality. So far, no loose bits floating around in the boxes, and they feel sturdy when held. Not afraid of breaking anything by picking them up. Quote
Robert Shrives Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Hi, perhaps missed somewhere but spotted on web shop spare B4 bogies available- bought 4 packs for other projects given how well they run. fun if B5s got on the shop as well as ideal for EGVs. Robert Quote
