So, people who 'strictly' didn't have to pay and didn't, will have priority over people who didn't have to pay but did?  Just seems to me that those who paid their money first should be served sooner rather than later.

Just a quick question for the IRM lads….

My own A Class order doesn’t show up in the “my orders” section of my account on the IRM website. Is this normal? I’m thinking maybe it’s because the order was made so long back….

If you send us a quick email with the order number we can check it for you. :)

Just received one of the wonderful  A classes.  It is an amazing  piece of work . Well done to the team in Irish Railway Models , the three year wait has been worth it.  Also well done as always to An Post , delivered to me the day after it was dispatched.

Picked up my two A’s today!

They are absolutely stunning. Sadly I only had time to pop the decoders in and give them a bit of run, but first impressions are fantastic. One thing that struck me is the quality of the sound from the speaker set up. The lads at IRM have outdone themselves.

I collected my locos earlier today from the Depot! I have to say the packaging is first class and streets ahead of anything I have seen before! See attached photos. They are solidly protected all round with absolutely no 'wriggle room'! Hats off to Noel & Pat in Parcel Planet for not only checking that my order was correct, but then going in search of my other three orders (which were originally going to be posted to me), which they then found! And hats off also to IRM for investing in the high quality packaging! I have only looked at two so far and they are jaw dropping! Cannot wait to get them out on the road!! Really well done to all in IRM!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder. If you want to collect your order please contact IRM direct sales@irishrailwaymodels.com with your order number first so we can book it in for you. Please do not contact Parcel Planet directly as they are not equipped to deal with on spec turn ups or phone calls from IRM customers.

(This is not directed at @fishplate7 as he had arranged collection correctly, but we have been contacted by the warehouse team about other customers turning up or contacting them unannounced!)

Appreciate your cooperation in this everyone!

Cheers!

Fran

I will say I was impressed with the box, plastic outer sleeve so the box is not scuffed or beaten to a pulp like so many other models, large box due to thick foam insert, outer plastic sleeve on formed plastic enclosure, the space between the holding the bag of bits. The molded plastic enclosure holds the loco securely at specific structural points, leaving finer parts suspended out of contact with anything else. The contact points are padded with moleskin to prevent scuffing where it contacts the model. But, yes, we might need a bigger boat ... lol

I only got one of the dark lined green because I couldn't remember how many of them actually got that livery. Anyone know the details?

Two of mine are leaving DHL Brussels shortly, so hoping for a similar turnaround of 5-6 days to Hobart, Tasmania. DHL Express seem to be really strong performers in IRL - Australia parcels.

IRM seem to be shipping the locos individually, even if two or more in an order.

That’s the default yes but we can merge on request. Drop us a line if anyone has multiples unsent and we can combine.

That explains my partially fulfilled order. The remaining two will get here eventually. Not bothered if they arrive singly.  Thanks
